FENESTRA invites art lovers and collectors to discover more than 30 contemporary artists inspired by the landscapes, cultures and creative spirit of the Mediterranean.
This summer, as travellers move between London, Italy, Cyprus and the wider Mediterranean, a new digital exhibition offers a chance to discover contemporary artists whose work is shaped by the landscapes, histories and cultures of the region.
Launching on 15 July, FENESTRA is a curated summer exhibition presented by Magnus Tempus 360°, bringing together more than 30 artists from Italy, Cyprus and the UK in an online showcase that runs until 29 September 2026.
Taking its name from the Latin word for "window", FENESTRA offers a slower, more thoughtful way to discover contemporary art during the summer months. Through painting, sculpture, drawing, textiles and mixed-media works, the exhibition explores the creativity and cultural richness of the Mediterranean, inviting visitors to browse as they might wander through a favourite neighbourhood or stumble across a gallery while travelling.
Developed in collaboration with the Rome-based artist-led platform Struttura, FENESTRA brings together more than 30 established and emerging artists whose work explores landscape, memory, craftsmanship, mythology and contemporary life around the Mediterranean. From sculpture and painting to textiles and mixed media, the exhibition offers a snapshot of the region's creative energy today.
FENESTRA is organised like the passage of a Mediterranean summer day, moving through three curatorial moments: Aurora, Meridies and Vesper, meaning dawn, midday and evening. Visitors move from the first light of Aurora, where works suggest emergence, discovery and material sensitivity, into the full sun of Meridies, where artists bring force, clarity and strong visual presence, before arriving at Vesper, a more atmospheric final section shaped by memory, myth and reflection.
Artists featured in FENESTRA include:
Aurora - first light, emergence, material sensitivity and discovery: Alice Schivardi, Giulia Apice, Maddalena Scuderoni, Andisheh Bagherzadeh, Elena Adamou, Savella Michael, Jennifer Hackett, Emanuele Buffo and Alessandro Giannì.
Meridies - full sun, clarity, force and strong visual presence: James Capper, Panayiotis Michael, Shaun McDowell, Bobby Dowler, Guy Haddon-Grant, Guendalina Urbani, Paolo Assenza, Sue Kennington, Jo Dennis, and Sbagliato.
Vesper - evening atmosphere, memory, myth, residue and reflection: Marcello Cinque, Vasilis Matosian, Daniela Di Lullo, Salvatore Mauro, Nicola Rotiroti, Fabrizio Cicero, Elio Castellana, Diana Pintaldi, Eliseo Sonnino Di Laudadio, Andrea Pochetti, Gian Maria Marcaccini and Salvatore Pupillo.
"Summer has always been about discovery," says Halime Eleni Özdemir di Larusso, founder of Magnus Tempus 360°. "You arrive somewhere new, wander down a side street, find a gallery you weren't looking for, or meet an artist whose work stays with you long after you've gone home. We wanted FENESTRA to capture that feeling online."
She continues: "I grew up in London but have spent years living and working between Cyprus and Italy. Those journeys have shaped how I think about art-not as something separated by borders, but as a conversation between places, people and cultures. FENESTRA brings those conversations together in one space, inviting people to discover artists in the same way they discover a destination: slowly, through curiosity and unexpected encounters.”
FENESTRA launches on 15 July 2026 and runs until 29 September 2026.

MONTESILVANO / PESCARA, ITALY - Cyprus-based artist Elena Adamou will present her first solo exhibition in Italy this June with Iconographies (Tiny Resistance, Crevices and Other Creatures) at primopiano, an independent exhibition space near Pescara on Italy’s Adriatic coast.
The exhibition marks the opening chapter of YEAR II: ROUTES & RESIDUES, the new annual programme by Magnus Tempus 360°, the Cyprus-based cultural platform founded and directed by Halime Eleni Özdemir di Larusso.

Unfolding across Cyprus, Italy and the southern Mediterranean, Routes & Residues traces the movement of artists, histories, materials, ecologies and ideas through research-led residencies, exhibitions, publications and institutional partnerships.
Following the inaugural Ecoscapes residency in Nicosia and the first edition of Existential Licence in London, Year II expands the Magnus Tempus 360° network through residencies, exhibitions and research-led collaborations across the Mediterranean.
Curated by Martina Marini Misterioso and Halime Eleni Özdemir di Larusso, the exhibition brings together embroidered textiles, botanical dyes and installation works exploring endangered Cypriot flora alongside invasive plant species commonly found growing through cracks and pavements across Mediterranean cities. Curatorial text is contributed by Erica Romano.
Through slow textile processes and direct engagement with plant matter, Adamou’s practice considers fragility, resilience and ecological adaptation across shared Mediterranean landscapes. The works shift attention toward overlooked forms of plant life and the quiet forms of resistance embedded within them.
The exhibition follows Adamou’s participation in Ecoscapes, a residency programme initiated in Nicosia by Magnus Tempus 360°. The exhibition is commissioned and produced by Magnus Tempus 360° in partnership with primopiano and Producer 360°, with support from the Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Culture.

Elena Adamou lives and works in Nicosia. She studied Painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan, where she also completed an MA in Costume Design.
Working across embroidery, textile manipulation, installation and video, her practice explores time, resilience, memory, belonging and familiar environments through slow, meticulous and labour-intensive processes.
Her exhibitions include The Wardrobe at Archive Artspace, Fluid Persistence at NiMAC, Nicosia, the International Biennale Révélations – Cyprus Handicraft Service Pavilion at the Grand Palais in Paris, Feeling at NPAK in Yerevan, Miniartextil at Pinacoteca di Como and ReA! Art Fair at Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan.

Erica Romano is an art historian and curator based in Tuscany and Artistic Director of Fondazione Italo Bolano. Her curatorial research focuses on the relationship between image, philosophy, spirituality and nature, with particular attention to artist residencies as spaces for experimentation, dialogue and exchange.
Halime Eleni Özdemir di Larusso is a Cyprus-born, London-raised arts producer, curator and cultural strategist with roots in Famagusta. She is the Founder and Artistic Director of Producer 360° and Magnus Tempus 360°.
Across nearly two decades, she has worked with institutions and platforms including Serpentine Galleries, British Museum, Royal Academy of Arts, Frieze, White Cube, the Istanbul Biennial and Bagri Foundation. Her work spans exhibitions, commissions, film, cultural diplomacy and public-facing institutional projects across the UK, Cyprus, Italy and the wider Mediterranean, with a particular focus on artist-led production, cross-cultural exchange and the creation of long-term cultural infrastructure.
Martina Marini Misterioso is a multidisciplinary artist and performer.
After graduating in Painting from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, she continued her studies in Munich, where she lived for eight years. There she co-curated together with Doro Seror, the Break Through project, described as “the world’s smallest performance space”, and worked as Lucy Wilke’s personal assistant. She is part of the decade-long performance project MarinA, which was awarded the Kunstförderpreise, a prize from the City of Munich, in 2024.
Her work has been presented in numerous international contexts, including the Nassauischer Kunstverein Wiesbaden (2016), the Larnaca Biennale (2018), Super Books at Haus der Kunst München (2019) and Stills of Peace for Young Pescara (2025).

primopiano is an independent exhibition space established in Montesilvano, Italy, in 2025 by artist Martina Marini Misterioso. Located within a former domestic and medical space, it presents exhibitions, performances, concerts and site-specific projects by local and international artists.

Producer 360° is a cultural production company founded by Halime Eleni Özdemir di Larusso, working across contemporary art, film, institutional projects and strategic cultural initiatives. Across nearly two decades of activity, Producer 360° has supported international exhibitions, commissions and public-facing cultural projects through production strategy, partnerships and delivery.

Founded by Cyprus-born curator and producer Halime Eleni Özdemir di Larusso, Magnus Tempus 360° is a Cyprus-based platform for cross-Mediterranean artistic exchange, connecting artists and institutions through residencies, exhibitions and collaborative projects, with a particular focus on Cyprus and Italy.
Prior to launching Magnus Tempus 360°, Özdemir di Larusso spent nearly two decades working across international contemporary art projects through Producer 360°, collaborating with organisations including Serpentine Galleries, Royal Academy of Arts, British Museum and the Istanbul Biennial.

Future editions of the Magnus Tempus 360° programme will continue across Italy, Cyprus and the broader Mediterranean throughout 2026.
